PAPA GOD CLEANS-UP BEST

When my daughter began to crawl, she was really excited about it and would wander off playing and exploring the extent of her new found ability. However I noticed that after a while she'd come back to wherever I was at the moment and try to get my attention either by tugging and pulling at my clothes or climbing all over me. After a while I observed that she usually came back after she'd done a "number 2" in her diaper. Hmmm.

One day as I changed her diaper, the Spirit of God ministered to me. He said, "This is how God designed His children to come back to Him when they mess up. No matter how far off you have wandered, come back boldly for Daddy's good clean-up. You can't take care of your mess by yourself. Only God can."

A lot of times Christians make mistakes ranging from minute to scandalous. People judge and condemn so much that we forget that our Heavenly Father still specialises in forgiving and setting us on a clean slate. Out of condemnation we wander even far away from God because we feel we have disappointed Him and we try really hard to set things right by ourselves as though we really could. The more we do this, the more we struggle. However, we must remember the Bible says “So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT

God wants us to draw close to Him when we mess up. Contrary to the lies of the devil, He desires your fellowship most when you have strayed because you cannot put yourself back on track by your own power. So the next time you think you have been such a terrible sinner, repent and run to the Father. Tug on His clothes and don't let go until you are well cleaned up.

I've had this message for over a year now but God has impressed it in my heart for me to share it now.

Have a God-conscious day.
